By having the ability to build both the house and swimming pool, we saved the client both money, time and energy having to deal with a second contractor. The synergy between building the house and the swimming pool allows Inspired Constructions to produce a superior product.
We also altered the original design to this swimming pool to make it more compatible to the house and outdoor area design.

Home Extensions and Renovations, Holland Park West, Brisbane
Inspired Constructions, Pools & Landscaping was originally asked to provide advice on a pool and landscaping design for the client. This design was to be incorporated into their master plan for the home renovations.
From our proposed design suggestions and discussions, Inspired Constructions was also invited to quote for the construction of the renovations. It was our privilege to start construction of the renovations in March 2008 which we completed in October 2008, one month in front of construction schedule.
The transformation of this 40 year-old home is a remarkable achievement that could not have happened without the skills and professionalism of all the trades and suppliers involved, as well as a highly committed and organised client.
Inspired Constructions held weekly site meetings with the client which enabled a remarkable level of communication and also developed a strong professional and personal relationship.

Home Extensions and Renovations, Kelvin Grove, Brisbane
Inspired Constructions, Pools & Landscaping was engaged to renovate and extend an 80 year-old traditional Queenslander incorporating eco-friendly features, recycling and energy efficiency in the design and build to become environmentally sustainable.
Inspired Constructions suggested and integrated an underground / under-slab water tank (22,000L) into the structure of the home. This has the capacity to feed the entire water supply to the property, allowing the owners to be fully self-sufficient and still change to mains water if needed. This was achieved by incorporating some of the structural elements to the house and adding a few block walls and a suspended slab to form the tank.
The delipidated state of the existing home and the restricted access to the site made this project particularly challenging but from adversity comes triumph.
My favourite part of the renovated space is the new living and kitchen area with the roof windows and the shadow gap stained plywood ceiling looking onto the back deck. The plywood ceiling gives a soft earthy feel to the home with the different colours and textures of the wood.
Victoria Park Golf Complex, Herston, Brisbane
Giovanni was contracted to project manage the redevelopment of the business comprising of existing function areas, golf driving range and cafe, adding an 18 hole putt putt facility, a state of the art golf training centre, further function areas, extension to the existing proshop and an 87 car park.
The 18 hole putt putt has integrated the use of surround sound speakers, security cameras capturing all areas of the course, water features and irrigation fed by a 50,000L underground water tank, a bridge to link the two 9 hole courses and a function area that caters for casual functions as well as corporate events.
The golf training centre was built using light weight cold room panels minimising the cost of footings whilst still providing the thermal requirements for the building. This design was an alternative to the proposed design to ensure that the client maximised their return on investment. The centre has state of the art video computer software from the United States, providing the best analysis of a golfer's game available in Queensland, if not Australia.
The proshop extension used alternative building materials to minimise costs and construction times allowing the proshop to remain in operation for all but 8 days of the construction program. Some features added to the building were: increased floor area for clothing sales, a putting surface, and plasma screens for the use of promotional videos.
The project was completed in 10 months and was handed over to the client in stages so they were able to reap the financial benefits of each stage, maximising their earning potential.
Mirvac Cutters Landing Development, New Farm, Brisbane
Giovanni joined Mirvac Housing as a site manager, managing a scope of works extending from civil works to landscaping, finishes and handover of the 34 houses being constructed in Stages 2 and 3.
An extensive review was undertaken of the operations for these stages. The result of this review was the reduction in program time by almost 5 months per house and the team succeeded in completing 21 houses in Stage 3 for settlement prior to June 30 (target was 18).
Gio managed site staff and over 200 tradespeople per day (at its peak construction level). This was achieved through the use of construction scheduling techniques detailing all facets of the construction process.
Divitia Financial Services, Morningside, Brisbane
This project provided the client with four offices, two of which could be converted to a boardroom, and reception area. The refurbishment/fitout also included storage areas, air-conditioning system throughout, data cabling, and overhead data projection facilities. Works took place over 3.5 weeks providing a high quality finish to this business.
